Our Philanthropy Mission is to:

  • Inspire women to fulfill their philanthropic potential.

  • Increase awareness of TWIB philanthropy objectives for the membership and community.

  • Diversify the type of philanthropic support according to TWIB policy and guidelines. This will include to grants, increasing fund distributions and volunteer participation with community events and nonprofits.

Our 2025 grant recipient is Change 1.

Change 1’s mission is to improve the lives of children, youth and families that experience the Child Welfare system and other Health & Human Services systems in order to ensure successful outcomes.

Their approach: Positive Youth Development (PYD) is both a philosophy and an approach to adolescent development. While there are several definitions of PYD, Change 1 supports the following:  Positive youth development engages youth along with their families, communities and/or governments so that youth are empowered to reach their full potential. PYD approaches build skills, assets and competencies; foster healthy relationships; strengthen the environment; and transform systems
